Google recently released a ‘broad core’ algorithm update last week but seven days on there has been no indication that any websites have been suffered negatively from this latest release.
The search engine announced on Twitter on April 18 that it had released the new update as they ‘routinely do throughout the year’.
From the Google Twitter handle @searchliaison, Google’s public liaison of search Danny Sullivan, who ‘shares insights on how Google search works’, then advised users looking for more background and advice to the new algorithm update to refer back to an earlier tweet it had posted about this on Twitter on March 18.

It is estimated by 2020 that 50 per cent of all Google searches will be by voice according to comScore. There are significant differences between ‘voice search behaviour’ and ‘typed search behaviour’ which affect how a site owner optimises a web page.
As professional marketers, we need to think about how we incorporate this new wave of searchers into our SEO strategy and be aware of how the mode of search changes search behaviour, because users understand which voice searches work best on which device – i.e. virtual assistant vs desktop vs mobile!
