Google and Twitter just got a bit friendlier after the search engine giant officially expanded tweets into desktop search results.
In February, ex-Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said that Twitter would be partnering with Google on future integrations, so the announcement that Google will now be displaying Twitter content is not surprising.
In fact, Twitter integration has been available on Google’s mobile website and apps since May, but this is the first time that rich Twitter cards can be viewed in all English language search results on desktop.
As on mobile, the integration of Twitter with Google's desktop search engine will give you different results depending on what you are searching for in Google.
