‘Privacy’ search engine DuckDuckGo surpasses 10 million search queries per day

DuckDuckGo – who use the slogan ‘the search engine that doesn’t track you’ – hit a milestone this week after surpassing the 10 million daily query mark.
Its founder, entrepreneur Gabriel Weinberg, said he believed the increase in users switching to his search platform was because of them being a privacy-focused search engine.
Launched in 2008, many people are still unfamiliar with DuckDuckGo and not even heard of it, but the announcement that it hit 10,218,617 queries on June 22 means it is making a steady progress.
