With ‘corporate collaboration’ platforms gaining traction (Microsoft have just merged Lync and Skype to provide businesses with a seamless communications service), Facebook is the latest to announce a new tool, designed to allow employees to work together on projects and chat in real-time via an interface similar to its existing social network.
Set to have a January 2015 launch and dubbed ‘Facebook at work’, the new tool will initially be free to use in order to encourage businesses to join and expand their user base.
